Our goal is to open in late August or early September, depending on the renovation timeline. We’ll continue sharing updates on our website and social media as we get closer to opening.

Poplar & Payne is an upscale boutique marketplace featuring thoughtfully curated small businesses, artists, makers, and specialty brands under one roof.

Vendor Questions

How do I become a vendor?

Complete the Vendor Application on our website. Applications are reviewed as they’re received, and accepted vendors will be contacted with next steps.

Are spaces still available?

Yes—but spaces are filling quickly. Once we’re at capacity, we’ll begin a vendor waitlist.

Is there a waitlist?

Yes. If all vendor spaces have been reserved, new applicants will be added to our waitlist and contacted as openings become available.

What are your booth rates?

  • Standard Space: $4 per square foot/month

  • Premium Window Space: $5 per square foot/month

  • 4’ × 4’ Island Display: $250/month

  • 6’ Wall Display: $200/month

  • 4’ Bookshelf Display: $200/month

How long is the lease?

Our initial lease is 6 months, followed by month-to-month leasing.

Do you charge commission?

Yes. Poplar & Payne charges a 15% commission on sales. We do cover credit card processing fees.

What point-of-sale system do you use?

We use SimpleConsign, allowing vendors to easily track inventory and sales.

Can I customize my booth size?

Yes! Most standard spaces can be customized to fit your business and product line (as space is available.)

Can I share a booth with another vendor?

Please contact us to discuss shared space opportunities. We’ll review requests on a case-by-case basis.

Workshops & Artists

Do you offer workshops?

Yes! We’re looking for talented instructors to host creative workshops.

Who can teach a workshop?

We’re interested in a variety of creative classes including painting, candle making, woodworking, jewelry making, floral design, photography, knitting, and much more.

How do I become a workshop instructor?

Let us know on your workshop application or contact us directly with your class ideas.

What is the Featured Artist program?

Each month we’ll highlight a local artist with a dedicated display in the store.

Who can apply to be the Featured Artist?

We’re currently accepting applications from painters and photographers.

Shopping

Will you have a coffee shop?

We’ll have a specialty coffee vendor inside the marketplace so guests can enjoy a drink while they shop.

What types of products will you carry?

You’ll find a carefully curated collection of apparel, home décor, artwork, candles, soaps, gifts, pet products, coffee, accessories, handcrafted goods, and much more from local and small businesses.

Will you be accepting new vendors after opening?

Absolutely! As space becomes available, we’ll continue reviewing applications and contacting vendors from our waitlist.
