Located inside Poplar & Payne in the heart of East Memphis, The 4934 is a flexible, welcoming space created for classes, workshops, meetings, book clubs, small celebrations, private gatherings, and more. With room for approximately 20 guests, it’s a space designed to bring people together—whether you’re here to teach, learn, celebrate, create, or simply gather.

Private Rentals: The 4934 can be rented by the hour for meetings, showers, book clubs, small events, group gatherings, and other private uses. Choose the amount of time you need, select an available date and time, and reserve the space online.

Classes & Workshops: Interested in teaching at The 4934? Approved instructors do not pay our standard hourly rental rate. Instead, Poplar & Payne’s fee is collected through class ticket sales. Once approved, instructors receive access to reserve available dates and times on our classroom calendar.
